Happy Juneteenth Independence Day from the City of Statesboro! City Hall and other City of Statesboro buildings will be closed today, Wednesday, June 19th, in observance of Juneteenth. City buildings will reopen on Thursday, June 20th. The Statesboro Fire Department and Statesboro Police Department's administrative offices will also be closed during this time, but the departments will be staffed to offer patrol, fire, and other emergency services.The Statesboro-Bulloch landfill will be closed today and will reopen Thursday. Please note the following changes below to this week's residential waste collection schedule:Wednesday - No collectionThursday- Wednesday routeFriday- Thursday route

During last Tuesday's City Council meeting, a proclamation recognizing June 10-14 as Municipal Court Clerk's Week was presented to Statesboro Municipal Court Clerk Haylie McGlamery and Deputy Clerks Jasmine Perkins and Amy Reed.
