I love this guy and haven’t seen him in years until yesterday when we were there helping him move. The legendary Casting Director / Acting Coach Stephen Synder had been a major inspiration in my development as a well-versed actress. Alci Rengifo that was also there is a talented knowledgeable film critic for EntertainmentVoice.com, as well as producer & director of his own films. 🎥 I remember the days in his long running classes for 25+ years performing in the Ruby room at the famed Complex Theatre on theater row on Santa Monica Blvd prepping and performing scenes for countless famous industry guests in the business. We covered everything in his classes from one-on-one coaching, Scene Study, Script Analysis, Vocal Production, #Audition technique, #Commercial Technique, and other gems. It’s was such a profound and nostalgic time being in a physical room of other talented actors, some celebrities that I still kept in touch with years later. Time moves so fast as we much enjoy all the picturesque moments in life, especially during times we create art from the deep passion in our hearts. There are 2 stellar projects I booked this!!! YEAH! The first one is a commercial project. I shot a National #modeling #commercial print job with Dr. Bosley’s MendExtend hair line product. I just got word from the casting director they decided to also feature it on #QVC! It’s now turning into a commercial / testimonial unexpectedly. The second project is for a high end military style runway fashion show for Fall Fashion Week called “The Coat of Arms” by the legendary tailor to the stars James Andrew Luna. It will be held in November, more details to come! James Andrew Luna worked directly with Smokey Robinson tailoring his fashion design line for men when it launched years ago and was featured on the #Oscars. I auditioned for James this week and for cast. It will be honoring men and women that served in the military. I gotta continue getting in shape as he will be taking our measurements for hand tailored clothing by him for the show! It’s so exciting. His lovely daughter owns a radio station KLIE - 90.3 in the OC and I may have a press interview as well coming up on get show…So many unexpected blessings! God is good. This seasons has been a whirlwind of jobs booked more than I’ve had in years. I’m thankful for all the countless relationships I’ve made in #hollywood for 23 years now. In film directing it is often said the OTS shot will ignite a suspenseful foreshadowing that something dramatic is about to take place whether he shot is solo or face to face between two characters. As I’ve learned in film school years ago, this choice of shot is often used when the protagonist or victim in the scene is about to experience some extreme obstacle, difficulty, or harm by the antagonist. The exciting turn of events in scene a for protagonist is often a climatic event in the film or television episode. What a wonderful #photoshoot and memory. This is a picturesque shot of me of what I would have looked like in the #1920s! The camera used was a high quality vintage classic. All 1920s & 1930s set props from that era were used to make a realistic depiction of a specific theme. The entire set was executed perfectly for a memorable flash back in time. Well……I BOOKED IT! The casting director said they made the decision to cast me right away. I booked a 6 month long HEALTH & FITNESS journey. It is a rewarding project for a wonderful fitness product for a National COMMERCIAL / INFOMERCIAL and National Print campaign with a before / after Photoshoot. The before photos print job shoots next Tuesday on my BIRTHDAY 🥳 🎂 …what a GIFT! I’ll definitely go through a drastic change they said until November. The results for this product are astounding and safe.
